In an attribute table, a field of information commonly displayed as a column. A single attribute from a record in an INFO data file.
A single object is considered to be any item whose parts are not easily usable independently. (A sword, a shield, a throwing weapon, etc.). This requires a substantial connection to be made between all parts of an object i.e. a cord connecting a breastplate to a greave does not constitute a single object but a full suit of plate would. This applies to magic that refers to targeting a single object and does not override any other rules governing how a specific magic or type of magic interacts with other specific objects. I.e. Mend only repairing a single point of armor in a single hit location.
An item is generally the basic unit of archival description and control. An individual item might consist of a file (folder) of documents relating to a specific subject.

In OAI-PMH, item is the label for the totality of metadata contained in a repository about a single resource. An item is any product or service on which there is a need to retrieve pre-defined information and that may be priced, ordered or invoiced at any point in any supply chain (EAN/UCC GDAS definition). An EAN/UCC Global Trade Item Number (GTIN) uniquely identifies an item.
In PeopleSoft Inventory, a tangible commodity that is stored in a business unit (shipped from a warehouse). In PeopleSoft Demand Planning, Inventory Policy Planning, and Supply Planning, a noninventory item that is designated as being used for planning purposes only. It can represent a family or group of inventory items. It can have a planning bill of material (BOM) or planning routing, and it can exist as a component on a planning BOM. A planning item cannot be specified on a production or engineering BOM or routing, and it cannot be used as a component in a production. The quantity on hand will never be maintained. In PeopleSoft Receivables, an individual receivable. An item can be an invoice, a credit memo, a debit memo, a write-off, or an adjustment.
