Definitions for "Playitem"
The playitem is the basic unit around which dintwise is designed. It comprises information on what file to "play" (or display, in the case of a photo), what keywords apply to it if any, description, caption, and settings to tell the program how you want it played (for example, cropping area, zoom factors, color adjustments, borders etc). The design and power of the playitem concept are what makes Dinwise unique. For example, it allows you to adjust the way a photo is played as much as you like, without increasing your management problem by having to keep multiple copies of your photos, and without causing progressive quality loss through continual saving. You can have multiple playitems, all with different settings, referring to the same photo in the same playlist or in as many different playlists as you like. And the search capability lets you search keywords, names, captions and descriptions in order to find the files you're interested in.
