Serpent: sometimes used as a symbol of temptation, but also representing the dormant or awakened power of the Kundalini in its coiled or rising position. The energy of Kundalini is said to rise up the base of the spine like a snake, and in its dormant form is like a snake coiled at the base of the spine. The Kundalini naturally rises as one develops their consciousness and masters the seven levels of consiousness (chakras). In whatever chakra you are stuck, this is where the Kundalini will be stuck.
