Eli was, according to the Books of Samuel, the name of a priest of Shiloh, and one of the last Israelite Judges before the rule of kings in ancient Israel.
Eli (; ) is a large Israeli settlement that is home to both religious Orthodox and secular residents. The town is located in the municipal jurisdiction of the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council in the central West Bank (southern Samaria), north of Jerusalem and Ramallah.
