The entrance or escape of a fluid through a crack, fissure, or other aperture; as, the leak gained on the ship's pumps.
To let water or other fluid in or out through a hole, crevice, etc.; as, the cask leaks; the roof leaks; the boat leaks.
To enter or escape, as a fluid, through a hole, crevice, etc.; to pass gradually into, or out of, something; -- usually with in or out.
To show one's hole cards (often unknowingly).
To unknowingly show your hole cards.
An unintentional hole that allows something (fluid or light etc.) to enter or escape. As pertaining to sound, small openings at electrical boxes and plumbing, cracks around doors, loose-fitting trim and closures that allow sound to pass through.
popupid: leak](Mapping) A level design/construction error in the map which occurs when all Point Based Entities are not enclosed by World Brush es. This condition is usually picked up in the BSP stage of the map compile process. Usual error messages include LEAK LEAK LEAK and Warning: === LEAK in hull === depending on the compiler that you are using. See Also: Leaks.
(water distribution systems) Hole or joint failure of lower severity than a break.
The unfortunate problem of water escaping the water mattress.
an accidental hole that allows something (fluid or light etc.) to enter or escape; "one of the tires developed a leak"
the unwanted discharge of a fluid from some container; "they tried to stop the escape of gas from the damaged pipe"; "he had to clean up the leak"
enter or escape as through a hole or crack or fissure; "Water leaked out of the can into the backpack"; "Gas leaked into the basement"
a hole in your map that exposes any entity in your map to the void (the black space outside your map)
to pass through a small hole or crack.
The most annoying thing you get, when building bsp-maps! A leak (or hole as it is also called), is a place in your map that have a view out to the void. Think of you map as a giant enclosed bathtub filled with water. If there is a leak somewhere, the water would pour out (even run upwards if you got a leak in the ceiling!), and this prevents the VIS/QVIS program to optimize your map. If your level got a leak, even just a tiny small one, its a bad map! So compile often to catch leaks.
1. To allow a fluid substance in or out accidentally. 2. An accidental hole or crack that allows something, such as gas, light, electricity, to escape its boundaries. 3. Any means of escape for things that should not be allowed out.
Verb: To escape or "pass around" misaligned borders. Noun: Result of a man wearing panties that are just too small for him.
An escape through a hole, crevice, or other opening usually by accident or mistake (fault).
A leak is a hole or other opening, usually unintended and therefore undesired, in a container or fluid-containing system, such as a tank or a ship's hull, through which the contents of the container can escape or outside matter can enter the container. The word "leak" is also used as a verb; matter going through the opening is said to leak. The entry, exit, or exchange of matter through the leak is called leakage, the subject of another disambiguation article.
