A type of cable which contains (normally) six ways of power to a lighting bar. Can also be used in sound and, indeed, to refer to any cable which carries more than three ways.
a single cable with many conductors through which many circuits are run, be they power or control. Benefits include reduced weight when compared against an equivalent number of individual cables as well as speed and ease of installation and use. Most widely used are 6 circuit (18 conductor) power multicores using socapex connectors.
A cable with multiple cores allowing signals to be carried independently but within the same physical outer casing.
