Murid is a village located 10 kms west of Chakwal, Pakistan. This village is believed to be founded by the Raja Murid, a brother of Chaudary Chaku Khan in sixteenth century AD. Before the partition of India, this village was inhabited by Muslims, Hindus and Sikhs.
