A fast, proprietary Microsoft networking protocol used only by Windows-based systems, and limited to LANs because it does not support routing.
(NETwork BIOS Enhanced User Interface) - a standard protocol for Network Operating Systems introduced by IBM
NetBIOS Extended User Interface. An enhanced version of the NetBIOS protocol for network operating systems such as LAN Manager, LAN Server, Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95 and Windows NT. NetBEUI was created by IBM for LAN Manager but expanded by Microsoft and Novell. See also network communications software and my article on Identifying Network Computers.
Pronounced net-booey, Netbeui is short for NetBios Enhanced User Interface. It is an enhanced version of the NetBIOS protocol used by network operating systems such as LAN Manager, LAN Server, Windows for Workgroups, Windows 95 and Windows NT.
See NetBIOS Extended User Interface.
Microsoft implementation of the NetBIOS protocol. NetBIOS is short for Network Basic Input Output System. NetBEUI is essentially NetBIOS with enough "enhancements" to make it a Microsoft protocol, although it is compatible (and almost indistinguishable) to other NetBIOS derivitives. OS/2 LAN Server 2.X-3.X used a different derivitive called IBM NetBIOS. See Brian L. Juergensmeyer's article on networking OS/2 and Windows for more information.
NetBIOS Extended User Interface. An evolution of NetBIOS that can run over routable protocols such as TCP/IP. Used in earlier network operating systems, such as Windows NT and Netware.
NetBIOS Extended User Interface. A second-generation protocol designed to support NetBIOS based communications. NetBEUI is Windows 95's fastest transport protocol but cannot be routed.
The NetBIOS Extended User Interface network device driver. NetBEUI is the protocol driver supplied with LAN Manager. NetBEUI can bind with as many as eight network adapter drivers. For MS-DOS, the filename for the NetBEUI driver is NETBEUI.DOS. For OS/2 clients and LAN Manager servers, the filename for the NetBEUI driver is NETBEUI.OS2.
NetBIOS Extended User Interface. A local area network transport protocol provided with Windows 98.
A transport protocol developed by IBM in 1985 for small and medium networks. It is the underlying foundation of NetBIOS. NetBEUI today can be compared...
The communication protocol used for small networks that is non-routable.
NetB IOS xtended ser nterface. Also known as et IOS rame Protocol (NBF). NetBEUI provides a simple mapping of NetBIOS API parameters and data to a transport suitable for passing messages on Ethernet and Token Ring networks. Network BIOS Enhanced User Interface - IBM developed this standard protocol, which is a set of rules that an operating system uses to control how computers on a network to talk to each other. This protocol is now also used by Microsoft and Novell on many network operating systems including LAN Server, LAN Manager, Windows NT, and Windows 95.
NetBIOS Extended User Interface. Transport-level protocol of the TCP/IP variety originally developed by Microsoft. Supported by Microsoft LAN Manager 2 and Novell NetWare.

A network device driver or transport protocol that is the transport driver supplied with LAN Manager, It can bind with as many as eight media access control drivers.
A Microsoft protocol designed for small networks. This protocol cannot travel over routers and is not used on the Internet or for 3web.
NetBEUI, or NetBios Enhanced User Interface is an extension of the NetBIOS protocol for local area networks. NetBEUI is used by network operating systems such as Windows 95 and Windows NT. Source: TechSoup.org
et ios nhanced ser nterface. A simple and popular protocol for home networks with Windows PCs. A derivative of NetBIOS.
NetBIOS Extended User Interface, a network device driver for the transport layer supplied with MS's LAN Manager, etc.
The transport layer for NetBIOS, which is no longer used by Windows XP.
(NetBIOS Extended User Interface). This is an enhanced version of the NetBIOS protocol used by network operating systems (NOS), such as Microsoft's Windows NT. NetBEUI is pronounced "netbooey". Also see Frame LAN NetBIOS Network NOS Protocol
The NetBIOS Extended User Interface protocol. A simple (but slow) networking protocol effective for small LAN's, but not suitable for routing packets in larger networks. Its speed problem is because the protocol relies on network broadcasts to all computers on the network simultaneously. See also Protocol, LAN, Packets and Broadcasts.
This is a networking protocol requiring minimal or no configuration.
A protocol for Microsoft networks.
An acronym for NetBIOS Extended User Interface, the transport protocol of Microsoft Networking. NetBEUI isn’t a routable network, so its popularity is declining in comparison with TCP/IP.
NetBIOS Extended User Interface. Developed by IBM and et taken by Microsoft, NetBEUI is a communication protocol on networks.
An older networking standard developed by IBM for LAN Manager and adopted for use in Microsoft Windows. NetBEUI stands for NetBIOS Extended User Interface.
Short for NETBios Enhanced User Interface. NetBEUI was originally developed by IBM in 1985 and is an enhanced version of the NetBIOS protocol used by network operating systems allowing the computer to communicate with other computers utilizing the same protocol.
network protocol used in Lan Manager.
n. Short for NetBIOS Enhanced User Interface. An enhanced NetBIOS protocol for network operating systems, originated by IBM for the LAN Manager server and now used with many other networks. See also LAN Manager, NetBIOS.
Networking. NetBIOS Exended User Interface. Transport layer protocol used in Microsoft and IBM PC (OS/2) networks. NetBEUI was introduced by IBM in 1985 for use in networks of 20 to 200 computers. NetBEUI is good in small networks, but not recommended for larger networks and is none routable.
Abbreviation for NetBIOS Extended User Interface. A network device driver for the transport layer supplied with Microsoft operating systems. ... more
An enhanced version of the NetBIOS protocol used by network operating systems, such as LAN Manager, LAN Server, Windows for Workgroups and Windows NT. It formalizes the interface for programmers and ... more
NetBIOS Extended User Interface.A network transport protocol that adds capabilities to NetBIOS.It is used by Microsoft and IBM network operating systems such as Windows NT and LAN Manager.
(NetBIOS Extended User Interface) A non-routable networking protocol used by smaller, non- subnetted networks for internal communications. Because NetBEUI is not publicly routable, network transmissions sent via NetBEUI cannot be transmitted over the Internet.
The network transport protocol used by all of Microsoft's network systems and IBM's LAN Server based systems. NetBEUI is often confused with NetBIOS. NetBIOS is the applications programming interface and NetBEUI is the transport protocol.
Stands for NetBIOS Extended User Interface. It is the common networking protocol of Windows for Workgroups. Meant for small local area networks, it is sometimes difficult to get a PC to "talk" NetBEUI at anything else.
NetBios Extended User Interface: networking protocol requiring minimal or no configuration.
