The CRN is a five-digit number that identifies a specific section of a course. When you register for a class in ExpressLane, you will enter the CRN for each class that you want to enroll in. You will find the CRN for every class listed in the Class Schedule each term.
Unique five digit course designation indicating location you plan to attend. Ex: PSY 100, E5146 Saco.
Course Reference Number. A five-digit number used to select a specific course, lab, and/or recitation.

Course Reference Number. A unique code assigned to each University of Alaska course. The first numeral of a course numbered in the hundreds indicates the year in which the course is normally offered in its own department. Coursesidentified with numbers ending with -92 are seminars; ending in -93 are special topics courses; -95, special topics summer session courses; -97 indicates individual study; -98 individual research; -99 thesis. Courses with the suffix X meet specific baccalaureate core requirements. Courses with suffixes W or O meet upper-division writing intensive or oral communication intensive course requirements for the baccalaureate core.
Customer Reference Number. An individual reference number allocated by the FAO for each child and one for the parent or guardian who is claiming CCB.
A five-digit code used to identify each section of a course for registration. It is in effect only for the current term.
The 4-digit number used on the course schedule to specify a course's time and location. Students need this number to register on BANNER Web, and it must be written on the student scheduling worksheet.
