A tricky technique of still having your foot gently on the brake while entering a turn. The idea is to keep the weight of the car transferred more to the front, allowing the back of the car to rotate. See "Oversteer".
It is used to indicate a driving technique in which the driver applies the brake before approaching a turn and then continues it till he eases into the corner.
A braking technique which requires a driver to apply brake pedal pressure during a turn so as to reduce speed as little as possible, without losing control. Sometimes referred to as "late braking".
