Definitions for "OTP "
One True Pair. Used in both RPS and media slash to describe the one pair that is "meant to be" where other possible pairings exist. This topic is discussed with great passion among boyband slashers especially. I've seen specific pair mailing list by-laws that explicitly forbid the posting of certain pairs that the owner finds distasteful.

Shortened form for opposite track path. One variation of the data pattern used in a two-layer DVD disc in which the data begins near the centre of the disc on the first layer and progresses to the second layer traveling from the outer edge to the inner. This technique is typically applied to very long programs designed for continuous playback.
Opposite Track Path. Dual-layer disc where Layer 0 and Layer 1 have opposite track directions. Layer 0 reads from the inside to the outside of the disc, whereas Layer 1 reads from the outside to the inside. The disc always spins clockwise, regardless of track structure or layers. This mode facilitates movie playback by allowing seamless (or near-seamless) transition from one layer to another. In computer applications (DVD-ROM), it usually makes more sense to use the Parallel Track Path (PTP) format where random access time is more important.
See Opposite Track Path.
One time Programmable – Specific chip design where the device manufacturer programs the contents of the electronic chip. This design is normally done to correlate the eID number with the visual identification number.
