Mortification is a Christian metal band from Australia, founded in 1990 from the 1980s metal band Light Force by Steve Rowe, Cameron Hall and Jayson Sherlock. One of the first bands of its genre, Mortification serves as inspiration for many of today's Christian metal bands.
Mortification is Mortification's second studio release and eponymous debut album, released in 1991. The album before was a demo. This album leans more towards Death metal, but still keeps itself in the ways of thrash.
