Non-automatic shooting mode.
Mode in which a push-button or lever switch is used to operate the system.
Manual mode gives you control over certain aspects of the camera's facilities by overriding the automatic function. E.G. F stop, aperture, speed, exposure time.
Allows the user to select both shutter speed and aperture to achieve the desired exposure.
For some tape libraries this setting causes the tape library to be in a mode where all cartridge operations must be controlled manually by using the control panel.

Mode by which the Auto capabilities of an Auto body are disabled and the user is free to manually set both aperture and shutter speed by himself, guided by the meter if he chooses to do so.
