Dune is a 1984 science fiction film directed by David Lynch, based on the 1965 Frank Herbert novel of the same name. The film stars Kyle Mac Lachlan as Paul Atreides, and includes an ensemble of well-known American, Latin American, and European actors in supporting roles, including Sting, Jose Ferrer, Virginia Madsen, Linda Hunt, Patrick Stewart, Max von Sydow, and Jürgen Prochnow, among others. It was filmed at the Churubusco Studios in Mexico and included a soundtrack by the band Toto.

Frank Herbert's Dune was a three-part miniseries based on the 1965 novel Dune by Frank Herbert. It was produced by New Amsterdam Entertainment in association with Blixa Film Productktion and Hallmark Entertainment Distribution, and broadcast by the Sci Fi Channel. Written and directed by John Harrison, the series was first broadcast in the USA on December 3, 2000.
