Committed Dose Equivalent, HT.50 (Internal). Dose equivalent to organs or tissues of reference (T) that will be received from an intake of radioactive material by an individual during the 50-year period following the intake.
Carbon Dioxide Equivalent. A metric measure used to compare the emissions from various greenhouse gases based upon their global warming potential (GWP). Carbon dioxide equivalents are commonly expressed as "million metric tons of carbon dioxide equivalents (MMTCDE)" or "million short tons of carbon dioxide equivalents (MSTCDE)" The carbon dioxide equivalent for a gas is derived by multiplying the tons of the gas by the associated GWP. MMTCDE= (million metric tons of a gas) * (GWP of the gas) For example, the GWP for methane is 24.5. This means that emissions of one million metric tons of methane is equivalent to emissions of 24.5 million metric tons of carbon dioxide. Carbon may also be used as the reference and other greenhouse gases may be converted to carbon equivalents. To convert carbon to carbon dioxide, multiply the carbon by 44/12 (the ratio of the molecular weight of carbon dioxide to carbon). (EPA)
Carbon dioxide equivalent. A metric measure used to compare the emissions from various greenhouse gases based upon their global warming potential (GWP). The carbon dioxide equivalent for a gas is derived by multiplying the mass of the gas by the associated GWP. CDE = (mass of a gas) * (GWP of the gas) Note generally the unit used is Gg ( 109 g = 1 000 tons ) or Tg ( 1012 g = 1 million tons )

See Common Desktop Environment (CDE).
Common Desktop Environment. A common windowing scheme, based on the X11 Motif system, used both in Solaris and HP-UX, to provide a similar look and feel for users.
The GUI part of COSE (q.v.) is CDE, the Common Desktop Environment which includes hypertext help, IPC (q.v.), printer support, and a bunch of other stuff. The look-and- feel is Motif-like, but there's a lot more than that to CDE. It looks like CDE certification will be withheld from most (if not all) PIGUIs since CDE includes its own API -- you have to comply with the API to be certified.
