The middle of three pieces of matzah on the seder plate at Passover. As part of a game, the children at the seder search for the afikomen, which is hidden by an adult before the meal begins.
A piece of matzoh which is broken off at the beginning of the seder meal and eaten at the very end. In between, it may be hidden or "stolen" and held for ransom, depending on the family's custom. Sometimes a prize will be given to the person who finds the afikomen and returns it to the seder leader.
A Greek word translating as dessert. Refers to the half piece of matzoh put aside during the Pesach seder to be eaten as the last part of the meal.
