A transnational corporation is a company whose operations extend beyond the boundaries of the country in which it is registered. In some cases TNCs are relatively small, only operating just over a nearby border. However, Trade for Life is more concerned with the very large TNCs.
Same as multinational corporation, though for some reason this term seems to be preferred by those who don't like them. A corporation whose national identity is a matter of convenience only, and that will move its headquarters readily in response to incentives.
