Do not worship other G-ds. 2)Do not worship or make idols. 3)Do not take oaths falsely in G-d's name. 4)Observe the Sabbath. 5)Honor your father and mother. 6)Do not murder. 7)Do not commit adultery. 8)Do not steal. 9)Do not lie. 10)Do not covet.

Provisions once included in Section 864 of the U.S. Tax Code that required the principal office of an offshore fund or other type of foreign partnership to be located outside the U.S. They were repealed as part of the Tax Payer Relief Act of 1997 because Congress wanted to bring administrative jobs back to the U.S. from offshore locations and remove cost burdens from U.S. investment managers. The IRS used the "commandments" to determine whether funds that operated outside the U.S. were subject to U.S. income taxes. Thanks to the repeal, offshore funds are now able to locate their principal offices in the U.S. without incurring federal income-tax liability.
In Judaism and Christianity, according to the Bible, the ethical commandments by God given to Moses on Mount Sinai in the form of stone tablets.
Any one of three sets of "commandments" given by God to Moses (Exodus 20, Exodus 34, Deut 5). Each of the three sets is different, and the only one that is actually called the "Ten Commandments" (Ex34) would be unrecognizable to most Christians, as it deals with methods of sacrifice. Lack of a prominent display of these commandments in government offices is perceived by some as a sure sign that American society is in a state of advanced moral decay.
Also called the decalogue, the "ten words" God delivered through Moses that became the heart of the Mosaic covenant; it is found in two versions, Exodus 20:1-17 and Deuteronomy 5: 1-21
The Ten Commandments, or Decalogue, are a list of religious and moral imperatives which, according to some religous traditions, were written by God and given to Moses on Mount Sinai in the form of two stone tablets. They feature prominently in Judaism and Christianity. The phrase "Ten Commandments" generally refers to the broadly identical passages in Exodus and Deuteronomy , but can also refer to the so-called "Ritual Decalogue" from Exodus 34.
