Definitions for "Stabiliser"
Keywords:  tailplane, fin, bilge, tail, keel
A surface that is used to stabilise the aircraft during normal flight e.g. the tail fin and tailplane. Other designs such as a V-tail may be used to provide both pitch and yaw stability.
a device used to reduce the rolling motion of a ship; may be active type such as active fins, or passive type such as bilge keel, fixed fins or tank systems
any fixed tail surface, usually prefixed by vertical (fin) or horizontal (tailplane)
(see cyanuric acid)
Also called Cyanuric Acid or Conditioner. A granular chemical added to the pool water which provides a shield to chlorine for protection from UV radiation. Too much can result in chlorine lock.
A compound, mainly isocyanuric acid, when added to pool water will reduce the rate of loss of chlorine due to sunlight.
an additive which improves the strength, durability or other properties of the walls
An additive (applies to pastels too) that helps prevent separation of pigment and binder. Sometimes erroneously thought of as adulterants, stabilisers are generally required in commercial paints for them to remain in workable consistency during storage.
Keywords:  nudie, vesel, juicy, shake, stuff
This stuff is what people put in juice to stop the heavy crushed pieces of fruit and light juicy part of the fruit from separating. In a way it is kind of like glue. We don't think you should drink glue so at nudie we don't add stabilisers, we just tell you to give them a shake before you drink them. Besides, if you've ever licked the back of a stamp you'll know that glue tastes nasty.
Device that adds stability when a vesel is at speed.
Keywords:  bow, minimise, torque, weight, rod
Weights fitted to the bow to minimise bow movement and torque on loosing.
A weight mounted on the bow to stabilise it during and after a shot.
An extension rod holding a small weight used to minimise the vibrations which occur during the release.
a device for making something stable
A stabiliser is a substance added to another substance to prevent an alteration of its physical state. Stabilisers are added to plastics so as to allow them to have a long and useful life in any application, by keeping their properties stable.
An ingredient used in formulation of some plastics, especially elastomers, to assist in maintaining the physical and chemical properties of the compounded materials at their initial values throughout the processing and service life of the material.
