Definitions for "Shortwave Radiation"
The principal portion of the solar spectrum that spans from approximately 300 nanometers (nm) to 4000 nm in the electromagnetic spectrum. Longwave radiation is infrared radiation (4000 nm).
radiation with wavelengths less than 3 µm (includes ranges of ultraviolet and visible radiation) [W/m2]   kurzwellige Strahlung
Radiation with higher energy and thus a shorter wavelength than heat. An example of shortwave radiation is sunlight.
