Per Member Per Month. A formula that produces a figure describing the relationship of a specific unit relative to the number of members per month for the length of time specified. The formula is: unit/member months. For example, the actual claim dollars paid PMPM for January through June = total claim dollars paid January through June/total membership for those six months.
