a straight position or zero degrees
The body position which minimizes stresses on the body. Typically the neutral posture will be near the mid-range of any joint's range of motion.
This is a positional relationship of the front of the foot to the back of the foot in its best (optimal) operating position. The ideal relationship is the bottom surface of the front is parallel to the back. In actuality, this does not exist. On average the most common relationship is a " valgus". This is by nature's design the more stable of the two. The second relationship is the " varus".
Held straight, neither tilted forward nor backward, neither internally nor externally rotated. The lower back, for instance, should be in a neutral position when performing bar squats or any other exercise that requires straight vertical movement.
neutral position is one in which neither wrestler has control.
