Definitions for "Multihomed"
A server with multiple IP addresses.
A machine with more than one NIC attached to more than one network. If a machine has multiple NICs but is only attached to one network, it is not multihomed. You must have more than one network attached to be a multihomed machine.
A computer that has multiple network cards or that has been configured with multiple IP addresses for a single network card. Network Load Balancing supports multihomed servers by allowing multiple virtual IP addresses to be assigned to the cluster adapter.
