An area of national forest system land identified in the Forest Plan as having distinct management objectives. Activities in each management area are governed by specific standards and guidelines set forth in the Forest Plan. Examples include the lands surrounding Lake Ouachita, road and trail corridors, riparian areas, and suitable timberlands.
