an engine system component wherein the fuel is stored before they are injected to the engine
A tank, other than a cargo tank, used to transport flammable or combustible liquid or compressed gas for the purpose of supplying fuel for propulsion of the transport vehicle to which it is attached, or for the operation of other equipment on the transport vehicle.
The fuel tank is limited to 5 gallons per FAA regulations. Various engines offer different styles in fuel tanks. Some designs are quite elaborate. They are quite simple though and are tasked with holding the gas. We recommend a tank with proper fuel filters and mounted under the engine, rather than over it. Don't need fuel spilling on hot stuff...
The storage compartment, under the trunk in most cars, that holds the fuel for the car. Also called the gas tank.
The container that holds a plane’s fuel supply.
A Fuel Tank is used to store fuel to power ICE and Turbine engines. A Unit may mount up to two fuel tanks per engine. Fuel tanks used to supply APUs must be separate from tanks used to supply the engine.
A fuel tank is the part of an engine system in which the fuel is stored and released into the engine. Fuel tanks range in size and complexity from the small plastic tank of a butane lighter to the multi-chambered cryogenic Space Shuttle external tank.
