Extended Network Addressing. Feature of SNA ( VTAM and NCP) enabling the construction of extremely large (up to 8 million LU s and 255 subarea s) networks. The network address is split into an 8 bit subarea, identifying processors and communications controllers, and a 15 bit element, identifying network resources. One of two ways of building very large SNA networks, the other being SNI.
