A data driven quality strategy for designing products and processes, it is an integral part of a Six Sigma quality initiative. It consists of five interconnected phases: define, measure, analyze, design and verify.
The Six Sigma DMADV process ( efine, easure, nalyze, esign, erify) is an improvement system used to develop new processes or products at Six Sigma quality levels. It can also be employed if a current process requires more than just incremental improvement.
An acronym for the five phases of a Six Sigma project: Define, Measure, Analyze, Design and Verify. A less common application of the Six Sigma methodology employed when a new process needs to e created or, an existing process is so badly broken that it needs to be re-invented. Sometimes referred to as DFSS.
