Cinder is the sixth major album by the Australian post-rock trio, Dirty Three. It is the first album of theirs to feature vocals.
'Cinder' formed in 1999 with singer Roger Young, and lead guitarist Kenny Craig, playing bars and clubs around the Southern Florida coastline area and writing songs for an album that would be called Soapy Tuna. It was at this time they picked up bassist Pat McGuire, and drummer Brian Colbert, and changed their name to Jesus Gun. In this form they recorded another album, which was available only at shows.
