The Child Study Team is a multidisciplinary team that meets to collect and review information about students who are referred for learning and/or behavioral concerns.
A team made up of guidance counselors, administrator, social worker, teacher, speech pathologist, school psychologist and staffing specialist who meet weekly to decide strategies and interventions that can help teachers and parents both in the class room and at home. This team provides the school with a unified approach to solving student problems and assessing student needs. It is a planned time to discuss strategies for dealing with specific concerns and/or to meet with parents to discuss problems of mutual concern.
A group made up of professionals from different disciplines, parents, and the student, if appropriate, which meets to determine if the student is eligible for special education and in need of special services.
