Aion (2003) is an album by the Finnish rock group CMX. The word Aion (or Aeon) is Ancient Greek for "age, life-force" and also a Finnish verb form meaning "I intend (to do something)".
Aion, also known as Æon, was a minor Anatolian deity in classical times. Aion was considered, in Late Antiquity, to be another form of Osiris-Dionysus. Aion should not be confused with the similarly named Aeon, a gnostic term for a certain type of divine entity (of which there were multiple instances).
Aion (1990) was Dead Can Dance's fifth studio album. The first album Lisa Gerrard and Brendan Perry wrote after the end of their amorous relationship, it was recorded at Perry's new estate, Quivvy Church in Ireland.
