A Night to Remember is popular 1980s icon and singer Cyndi Lauper's third album (as well as a song on the album). The album did not do as well as her previous albums, selling 0.5 million copies in U.S.. Lauper toned down both her girlish sound and her friendly punklook for the album, which was released in 1989 when grunge rock music was becoming popular; it sold moderately well, but could not compare to the huge sales of her first two albums.
"A Night To Remember" is a song by the RnB group Shalamar and has a cover version by Liberty X. The song was used as the 2005 Children In Need single, which peaked at #6 on the singles chart.
A Night to Remember is a 1958 film adaptation of Walter Lord's book of the same name, recounting the final night of the RMS Titanic. A Night to Remember was adapted by Eric Ambler, directed by Roy Ward Baker, and filmed in Britain as a docudrama. The production team, supervised by producer William Mac Quitty, used blueprints from the ship to recreate sets, and Titanic's fourth officer, Joseph Boxhall, worked as a technical advisor on the film.
