Definitions for "Yank"
A jerk or twitch.
To twitch; to jerk.
pull, or move with a sudden movement; "He turned the handle and jerked the door open"
Although the exact derivation of the word is still unknown, the most widely accepted theory is that it comes from the North American Indian word "Yengees" meaning "English". A term of derision applied to the descendants of Julian 5th during the Kalkar occupation of Earth. To be found as a "Yank" by the Kalkars was to be branded a traitor and possession of a Yankee flag was punishable by death. By Red Hawk's time the term has become meaningless but thought of be a term of honor. [MMa
