Definitions for "Willis"
The hybrid cultivar Willis originated as a selection made by a Mr Minnick of Kansas simply as a 'hybrid'. Almost certainly derived from a crossing of U. pumila × U. rubra, it was originally considered U. americana × U. pumila. It was described as having a smooth grey bark, large leaves similar to U. americana, and capable of very rapid growth.
Willis is the fourth album by the Ska/Soul band The Pietasters. It was released in 1997 (see 1997 in music) This album was released during the mid to late 90's ska explosion, and hit 44 on the Heatseekers chart, a record for the 'Tasters.
