A function in which a multiplexer or DVMR “looks through” a camera to detect motion within that camera’s view. If motion is sensed, recording is initiated to capture images of the motion.
This is a feature that detects motion within a video signal. Normally this is used to trigger recording of images. Advanced video motion detection systems have the facility to adjust the sensitivity and object size that will trigger the system. They also allow the image to be blocked out, such that only certain areas of the image are taken into account when scanning for motion.
Is a feature of all DVR digital video recorders found on AutomatedSurveillance.com. This is an advanced software feature which can detect motion in a camera's field of view and begin recording based on this motion detection. This type of detection can in most cases be adjusted in sensitivity. As well, a user can select and deselect areas in each camera's view for motion detection function. Advanced video motion detection erases the need for bulky and expensive PIR motion sensors.
A system that uses the video signal from a camera to determine if there is any movement in the picture and set of an alarm.
