VIC is a real-time, multimedia application for Internet video conferencing. It was designed with a flexible and extensible architecture to support heterogeneous environments and configurations, and allows users to participate in point-to-point and multi-point video conferences over the Internet.

Virtual Indiana Classroom at Indiana University—the primary vehicle (videoconferencing system) for distributing live, interactive distance education courses over a 22 site, two-way video network. VIC is used several times each day for statewide university departmental meetings and special events.

VIdeo Conference. A widely used desktop videoconferencing application used over the Mbone. It must be used in conjunction with an audio tool such as RAT or VAT. A component of the SHRIMP Tools collection.
