The formal ending of a reinsurance agreement by its natural expiry, cancellation or commutation by the parties. Terminations can be either on a cutoff or runoff basis. Under cutoff provisions, the parties' obligations are fixed as of the agreed cutoff date. Otherwise, obligations incurred while the agreement was in force are run off to their natural extinction.
A procedure used to electrically end a SCSI cable and prevent reflections. Passive termination is provided by resistors on the end of the cable. Active termination controls the impedance of the cable to provide better signals. Both types absorb the signal at the end of the cable, preventing it from bouncing back and causing noise.

If a signal is looped through more than one monitor all should be set to 'high' except at last, which should be to 'low' or 75 ohm.

storage: A kind of electronic shock-absorber that goes at the beginning and end of a series of peripherals (external hard drives, scanners, etc.) that are connected to a SCSI port using a single cable path.
