SpiNet is a simulation tool for large and heterogeneous spiking networks. Neurons are modelled as integrate-and-fire units with dual exponential synaptic conductances. Complex network models can be easily built using the included tool NetBuilder.
A keyed instrument of music resembling a harpsichord, but smaller, with one string of brass or steel wire to each note, sounded by means of leather or quill plectrums or jacks. It was formerly much used.
A spinet is a smaller type of harpsichord or other keyboard instruments, such as a piano or organ. In the wider modern usage, a spinet is a cheaper and more compact version of the full-size original, i.e., generally, a small upright piano or, less commonly, an organ, used primarily in the home.
