Definitions for "SOFT LIGHT"
A light source that generates diffused lighting
Asymmetric flood light used as a fill light in TV studios to eliminate shadows and balance the key light.
Diffused light. Light from larger sources is considered soft light. Soft light brings out subtle shadows and softens the edges of shadows. It is not as harsh and does not give the "deer frozen in the headlights" look. It also has less contrast, and so is not always desirable.
