tation essage etail ecording or sometimes ystem essage etail ecording is a port or hardware and programming in a PABX that outputs to a serial port details of call and messages generated by the PABX system (usually just call records). It is usually designed to be connected to a printer. The MonTel Server program takes this information instead and uses it to generate call records.
Station Message Dialing Report. Used to record information about telephone calls, organize that information, and prepare reports.
Station Management Detail Recording. The ability of network access equipment to output call statistics and performance information for tabulation and analysis.
System feature that produces a data record for each call processed by the system. The SMDR record usually includes fields for time, date, call duration, station number and destination number. (SMDR record has a number of uses to include billing, reporting and traffic analysis.)
