Definitions for "Shutter Priority"
A semiautomatic camera mode allowing the photographer to set the shutter speed and the camera to automatically set the aperture (f-number) for correct exposure. See aperture priority.
A mode of automatic exposure by which the photographer manually adjusts the shutter speed, and the camera adjusts the aperture accordingly to produce a normal exposure.
Shutter priority is a function available on some automatic cameras. This function allows the user to set a shutter speed and then the camera will choose the correct aperture setting based on the camera metering.
