Shifters is the name of a fictional superheroing group similar to the Marvel's Fantastic Four. The group consists of the three original heroes, Lightning Rod, Brain Wave, and Serpiente Escondido, plus the monstrous Full Pain, and new comer Brassantiran. They work in New York City and carry on double lives on there own.

The mechanism, generally found on the handlebars, that move shift cables which in turn move derailleurs in order to change gears.
