Shakaya are a two-piece girl group from Australia, consisting of 27 year old Simone Stacey and 22 year old Naomi Wenitong, two Cairns, North Queensland based songwriters and performers who entered the Australian music charts in 2002 with their ARIA top 5 debut album, 'Shakaya'. Featuring one Top 10 single "Stop Calling Me" and two Top 20 hits "Sublime" and Cinderella. Shakaya established the duo as Australia's premier female urban pop act and saw them tour with Humane Nature and Bardot, Destiny's Child, Usher, Kylie Minogue and Ja Rule.

Shakaya is the first and debut album by Australian girl duo Shakaya, released in Australia on October 18, 2002 (see 2002 in music) by Sony-BMG. It was produced by their manager Reno Nicastro. It is a mixture between pop and R&B music.
