Definitions for "Secondary Backing"
The underside of a carpet, usually woven jute, or non-woven polypropylene. See also primary backing.
In tufted carpet, an additional backing is bonded onto the primary backing with latex.
A second backing on some carpets. Could be jute, foam or latex.
