Reactive Organic Gases – One of the components that under proper conditions becomes ozone, a major constituent of smog. The CAP (see p. 3) seeks to limit the amount of ROG as an ozone precursor.
Reactive Organic Gas. A reactive chemical gas, composed of hydrocarbons, that may contribute to the formation of smog. Also sometimes referred to as Non-Methane Organic Compounds (NMOCs).
