Ride was a British shoegazing band. The band formed in 1988 in Oxford, England, and officially broke up in 1996. During that time they received much critical acclaim, and although this never translated into the chart and financial success that they aimed for, for a short while it seemed that the band could prove themselves as defying the fate that befell lesser 'shoegazer' bands.
Ride is an extended player by British band Ride. Their first official release, the EP came out in 1990 on the Creation Records label.
"Ride" was a track co-written and produced by Rich Harrison for R&B artist Usher for his 2004 album, Confessions. The song features The Bad Seed. The track never made the cut on the album nor the re-release, so Harrison handed over the instrumental to Jennifer Lopez for her new album, Rebirth in 2005.
