Definitions for "Reticulation"
The quality or state of being reticulated, or netlike; that which is reticulated; network; an organization resembling a net.
Fine, irregular pattern appearing on the surface of an emulsion which has been subjected to a sudden and severe temperature change during development.
Occurs during processing when the emulsion becomes cracked or distorted. The cause is usually exaggerated temperature variance or differences in chemical activity between solutions.
The manipulation of metal by heat to produce a wavy appearance on the surface.
A process of texturing copper bearing alloys with heat. Works well with 14k yellow or red gold and 820 silver. The metal is heated to about 1200 °F for 5 minutes to create a layer of copper oxide. The metal is then pickled in hot Sparex (an aqueous solution of sodium bisulfate) to remove the copper oxide from the surface. The metal is heated again to about 1200 °F for 10 minutes or more to create a layer of copper oxide. The metal is pickled again to remove the copper oxide from the surface. This leaves a skin of copper free metal on the surface with a thin layer of metal below containing copper oxide and a center section that has not been affected. The metal is carefully heated with a torch to cause the center layer of metal to melt. The metal contracts as it solidifies causing the un-melted copper oxide layer to buckle and form ridges and valleys on the surface.
A process in which metal is heated and shrunk, resulting in a rippled, veiny texture resembling the surface of a leaf.
Joining of separate lineages on a phylogenetic tree, generally through hybridization or through lateral gene transfer. Fairly common in certain land plant clades; reticulation is thought to be rare among metazoans.
The existing network or system used to convey stormwater. Return period (see AEP) The predicted period (measured in years) that a storm event of similar severity is expected to return
A network, water pipes, for example, which delivers a service or commodity. A water system of this kind is called a reticulated supply. Other reticulated services include electricity and telephony.
Water that travels through a network of pipes, pumping stations and treatment plants to make up the water supply system.
