Xerox takes back its products and refurbishes any components that can be reused, or recycles materials that cannot. Therefore a 'new' Xerox machine will contain parts or materials that have been used before. They have saved millions of dollars doing this and have ensured that all remanufactured products meet the same quality standards as 'virgin', thereby removing the 'secondhand' stigma of remanufactured goods.
