Definitions for "Remaindermen"
The person who will inherit property in the future. For instance, a property may be left to a spouse and after that person's death, the property may be inherited by the son. The son, therefore, is the remainderman because he will inherit the home in the future, after his parent dies.
Those who receive trust assets or "remainder" after the accomplishment of another purpose. The remaindermen have a future interest in the trust assets, not necessarily associated with a present interest.
Those who will receive the assets from a trust after the death of the current income beneficiary or beneficiaries, or the expiration or termination of the trust.
