All remuneration for employment paid to, or on behalf of, the employee. An hourly rate actually paid to an employee for hours worked in a given week. The rate is determined by totalling the workweek earnings and dividing by the number of hours worked. The regular hourly rate must be used to calculate overtime pay under the Fair Labor Standards Act.
An hourly rate of pay determined by dividing the total regular pay normally earned for the normal work week by the total number of hours worked within that week.
An employee's base rate of pay plus any other pay which may be necessary to meet the requirements of the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA).
