Pressure Zone Microphone. Also referred to as a "boundary" microphone, PZM's are designed to reject out-of-phase sounds reflected from surfaces within the recording environment.

PZM is an acronym for Pressure Zone Microphone, it can also be used to describe a boundary microphone in which the mic capsule faces the boundary a few thousandths of an inch away. PZM is a trademark of Crown International.
